EXCITING News!

I have some VERY exciting news!!!!

If you don't already know, I have been following the 21 Day Fix Nutrition Plan for over 2 months. I take this plan with me from fitness program to fitness program because, to be honest I LOVE IT. It is super easy to follow, I am NEVER hungry, and I can eat things I like!

When I say I am NEVER hungry, I mean NEVER hungry! Yesterday's menu consisted of...

SO let's get on with the EXCITING new, right?!?!?! HAHA. Okay, NEXT WEEK Autumn's 21 Day Fix Cookbook FIXATE comes out!!!! 101, 21 Day fix approved recipes!!!! I honestly CANNOT WAIT!



SO my plan over the next few months is to try EVERY recipe, and share with you guys(Julia & Julia Style!) I am not a GREAT cook by any means, so this should be interesting to say the least!

Insanity MAX 30 - Day 1 & 2! (OH SNAP)

So I have totally been MIA lately, and I apologize! I am making it a point to share more with you!



Here goes, Monday I started a new FITNESS program! I have been SUPER psyched about this bad boy since I made up my mind about a month ago. BUT, along with the excitement, came butterflies, nerves, and even hesitation!!! This program is intense, AND I am determined to not only finish but KICK it's and MY butt while doing so!

So far I can tell you MY BUTT has already been kicked, LOL! It is crazy how intense the workouts are, but honestly I have NEVER felt better then when I finish those 30 minutes! I know, I know, I am only on day 3, BUT seriously I can see the future and I look HOTT! HAHA.

Okay,okay... I am sure you are wondering, what is this CRAZY program Nicole is talking about? WELL, it is called Insanity Max 30 and it is just that....INSANE! Some of you may be familiar with the program, some of you not. The point of the program is to "MAX OUT",  write you time down, and beat your time the next go around. Basically you are in competition with yourself, and I LOVE THAT! Because HONESTLY it is NOT about being the best, it IS about being better than YOU were yesterday!


Day 1 was Monday, EEEEEK. MONDAYS are always tough, BUT I hit play! CARDIO CHALLENGE! LET'S GOOOO!

WARM UP: This is Shaun T people, I am not sure if you are familiar with him...BUT, DANG he is never easy on us. Not even during the warm up!  It started off a lot of jumping around -- 5 exercises, 2 rounds NON STOP, to you crazies out there this may sounds like a piece of cake.... NO LIE I almost maxed out during this WARM UP! LOL! But I pushed through and to my surprise, there was a water break at 5 minutes. GREAT, except I couldn't breath never mind sip water.  It MAY have lasted 30 seconds, and back at it.

NOW we start the actual workout, wait we aren't done yet!!!!! I am actually going to do a FULL review of each workout so people can get a taste of what they are in for.... But LET me just say, if you are a hardcore cardio person... YOU AINT SEEN NOTHING YET!  I MAXXED out while doing plyo jumps on my left leg, at 7:21! NUTS!


Day 2! TABATA POWER: Gosh, my thoughts were... "okay, it cant be worst then yesterday... I am AWFUL at Cardio!"... HAH, WRONGGGGGGG!

WARM UP:  Okay, I don't think it was AS BAD as yesterday's but still a KILLER. 5 Minutes, then water break... I am thinking "OKAY, let's do this", " I am totally hitting 10 minute MAX OUT TIME"...

If you aren't familiar with Tabata, it is 20 seconds intense workout, and 10 seconds rest. If you are like me you would think okay nice, lots of breaks. IF you can consider grabbing your heart and screaming WTF a break, then yeah you do get those! MAX OUT TIME ON DAY 2 - 6:17!



Hope you are getting the JIST of what Insanity MAX 30 is all about, TOTALLY not a walk in the park! BUT, on a serious note nothing worth working for comes easy!!!!! I am actually really excited to see where this program takes me, and EVEN MORE excited to share the journey with you!!

It's the FREAKIN Weekend!


Happy FRIDAY Peeps!

It's Friday at 4PM, one of my favorite times of the work week.  Only 1 hour left til freedom, SWEET FREEDOM!!!

I came across this, this morning and felt the need to share! It really stuck with me, and YES guys I AM "semi-obsessed"!



I have been working REALLY hard on my Health & Fitness the last few weeks, actually almost two months! And, yes I am extremely proud of myself.  I finished the 21 Day Fix Extreme LIKE A BOSS, and now am onto doing a hybrid program - - a mix between T25 & 21DFX!  My body has changed a lot, I have lost weight, my clothes fit better, my skin is clearer, BUT I think what HAS changed the MOST is my confidence level! I feel good, and I worked hard to look good -- INSERT CONFIDENCE HERE!!!

I remember a few short months ago buying new clothes EVERY week just to find something I felt comfortable in. Something kinda loose, but not loose enough to make me look bigger (come on guys, you know what I am talking about)! NOW I find myself going through my closet, to the section that I probably should have thrown out a few years ago, but there was always that chance I could wear it again (wishful hoping).  BUT GUYS this time I AM actually wearing it again!!!! AWESOME feeling, and pretty nice on my wallet too ;)!

I just wanted to throw it out there. To anyone at the beginning, middle or even if you haven't started your fitness journey.....REMEMBER to ALWAYS believe in yourself, because if you don't who else will?!?!?!?!

NOW I am outta here for the WEEKEND... Heading to NYC to celebrate the BIG 1 year ANNIVERSARY with my husband!!! SUPER excited (as you can tell by all the caps hahaha)

Nicole's Thought Corner

I see you all made it through MONDAY, pats on the back all around!!!!

My intentions with my "thought" corner is to give you some background info, and feedback/my thoughts on some of the health & fitness journeys I have been on and will go on! For me Beachbody was the GAME CHANGER, so this corner will be dedicated to them. One of the BEST things about Beachbody products in my opinion would be the VARIETY! I swear there is something for EVERYONE... With that being said, I plan to be EVERYONE! I want to try all the programs and give my honest review so that I help someone who may be on the fence decide what might be best for them. Good THINKING Nicole, right?!?!?!




It just so happens that the 21 DAY FIX was the first program I had EVER tried back in August 2014, for me it was just okay... JUST OKAY?!?!?! Yes, but that was my own fault. I wasn't ready, I wasn't 100% committed and I may have given it 65-70%. Why bother you may ask, WELL the only reason I did it was because I had a vacation at the beach at the end of the month and wanted to look better in my new bathing suits! AND, I did. But, as soon as vaca was over it was back to hardly exercising and pizza!




Fast forward 4 months. Here is when I finally said, this is it. I am ready to make a change in my life, and am not giving in this time. So me along with the billions of other resolution makers set out on our fitness journey January 1, 2015! But, this time was different. I could feel it, I knew this was it for me! I began this journey doing T25,  LOVED it. 25 minutes a day, 5 days a week. There was no way I could find an excuse, and I didn't even want too! I finished this program right in March, and that last week of T25 is when it hit me. I felt so good about myself, finally following through until the end, and actually COMPLETING a FULL program.  I knew if I could help just one person feel like I was feeling, I would be happy. That was my AH-HA moment, and the moment I decided to become a Beachbody Coach! AND, it just so happened I got that AH-HA moment on camera, this is me REALIZING that that day was the FIRST day of the rest of my life....FINALLY! :)



So since then, I have also completed the 21 Day Fix EXTREME, and absolutely LOVED it! This time around I gave it 110%, and freakin' ROCKED IT! I cannot say enough about the meal plan, if you have ever struggled with healthy eating.... I am telling you, this IS the program for you!!!! I have never been a dieter, I find is extremely hard. But, this is so much different than any "diet" or "meal plan" I have EVER seen! I now know what I can eat, and how much of it per day HOLY LIFE ALTERING EXPERIENCE, right?!?!?! I actually choose to follow this plan, not because I have too BUT because I know it works... and that makes me WANT to!! Autumn, the trainer on the videos ABSOLUTELY kicks your booty everyday, but kicks it SO GOOD, during the 21 days of clean eating and workouts I lost 5lbs and 7 INCHES...AMAZING! I don't want to get to in depth because I am in the process of making a 21 Day Fix EXTREME video review to give you ALL the JUICY deets and hopefully answer ALL your questions!
OBVI you can see how AWESOME I believe Beachbody is, there is no question about that. I am thankful everyday for how great I feel when I wake up, when I get dressed, and YES when I hit play! For ANYone and Everyone that maybe feeling in a rut, trust me you WILL get there. You will find your AH-HA moment, and if I can give you any advice... don't let it slip by!

It's what's for DINNER!


MMMMmmmm! Dinner! I don't know about you, but I look forward to dinner... LIKE every night!  I start thinking about it before I go to work, and my husband and I discuss it at least once a day.. Is that weird?!?!

 

I will say one of the BEST things about being on the 21 Day fix is the meal plan! Yeah, I said it... I actually LIKE being on this diet! There are a few reasons why, I know your on the edge of your seat now... It's actually quit simple, I can STILL eat delicious food! That is the main reason I have failed so many times doing so many other things... I want to be able to eat, I need to be able to eat.... I LOVE FOOD! Not only am I able to still eat, but I am TOLD exactly how much I can eat... AND because of that I am losing weight WEEK by WEEK!

So, last night I made  FIX APPROVED "BBQ" Chicken Thighs for dinner! I was VERY skeptical about Chicken Thighs because I have NEVER had chicken thighs before.... Which made my husband skeptical. THANK GOD, the dinner was a success and we both CHOWED!
I wanted to share the recipe with you all :)

This was a homemade "BBQ" Sauce:
•1/2 cup organic ketchup
•1/2 cup salsa
•2 Tbsp honey
•1 Tbsp dijon mustard
•1 tsp chili powder
•1/2 tsp cumin


I used 4 Chicken Thighs, put them in a 8X10 Pan(I am estimating, I don't even know if there is such thing a thing as an 8X10).... Mix up the "BBQ" and spread it on! Then cook at 400 for 40 minutes! SIMPLE, SIMPLE, SIMPLE....WHAT I LIKE BEST!

I recommend trying, and if you do.... let me know how it goes!


By the way, Bryan and I always keep it classy with the paper plates! :)

Hello WORLD!

Hey EVERYONE!

Welcome to my BLOG!  I am 100% new at this, and excited to open up the doors to a WHOLE new world! Hope you all ENJOY!


It really is THOUGH.....


I will let you in on a little secret. This is my first blog ever, is this called a "blog" or would it be a "blog post"... I'm gonna have to GOOGLE that! Anywho, what I intend to do is take you through my journey, a day in the life kinda thing! For those of you who don't know me, let's start of simple! My name is Nicole. That is all... HAHA! JK guys! SO recently I have taken a BRAND SPANKIN new path in the course of my life, and I am SUPER excited about it... About two months ago I became a Beachbody coach, which allowed me to LITERALLY stumble across my passion in life. Which would be helping people with their Health & Fitness. Although, I am still a newbie... I can tell you there is NO better feeling then helping someone set goals, and watching them CRUSH them! AWESOMEsauuuuce!

So to wrap this welcome post up, my main focus on this blog is to allow you into my life a little, to watch my Fitness & Coaching journey from the bottom up, to share with you my struggles and accomplishments, and to help motivate you to realize ANYTHING is possible. It's finally my time to take my life by the b@**$, and I am so EXCITED to have you along for the ride!
